Exporting Subscribers

Here’s how you can export your push notification subscribers

Before exporting your subscribers from PushOwl, please take note of the following points:

  1. The export file will contain the following information about your subscribers: their unique identifier, device token, browser type, and the date they subscribed.

  2. Please be aware that the exported subscriber data cannot be used for other services such as emails or SMS. It is specifically tailored for web push notifications through PushOwl.

  3. Only active subscribers will be included in the CSV file. Inactive subscribers, including those who have unsubscribed or become inactive, will not be included in the export.

  4. Safari subscribers cannot be exported. Due to technical limitations, it is not possible to include Safari subscribers in the export file.

  5. It's important to be aware that there may be a difference in the number of subscribers displayed in your PushOwl dashboard compared to the number of subscribers included in the export file. This difference is primarily due to the removal of inactive/safari subscribers.

  6. If you wish to export your subscribers to a different web push notification provider, please note that each push notification app utilizes a unique technique to convert visitors into subscribers. As a result, it is not possible to directly import PushOwl subscribers into another platform. Please reach out to their support team for guidance on the migration process.

How do I export my subscribers from PushOwl?

Ensure that you are the account owner and are using the email address associated with your Shopify account.

  1. Send an email to support@pushowl.com requesting a subscriber export.

  2. In your email, specify that you would like to receive a CSV file containing your subscribers' data.

  3. Our support team will process your request and provide a complete export of your active subscribers within 3 working days.
