Explaining how to create a campaign.

To allow you to write, design, and adjust the setting for your campaign better, The Create Campaign process has been broken down into 3 different pages.
Let’s take a look at the different building blocks of sending a campaign to your subscribers:

1. Campaign Details

On this page, there are 4 elements:

1. Sending Options: You can choose Send Now (send the campaign as soon as you finish creating it) or Schedule (set a date in the future when you want the campaign to go live)

When you select 'Schedule', you will be shown a date picker to select when you want the campaign to start sending.

2. Campaign Type: Choose whether you want to send a regular campaign (no expiry date) or a 'Flash Sale Campaign' (set an expiry date)

Here's how it looks when you select 'Flash Sale Campaign'. You can use the date picker to choose when you want the campaign to stop sending.

3. Segments: By default, your campaign is sent to 'All Subscribers'. (If you are on the Enterprise plan, you can choose which segment you want to send the campaign to)

4. Smart Delivery: Enable Smart Delivery if you want the notifications to be sent to your subscribers during their active hours.

2. Create Notification

On this page, you can create the campaign, add copy, add a hero image, and see how the notification would look on different devices. As you can see, the page shows you how your notification would look on different devices.

Let's look at the different building blocks of this page:
1. Title: Add a title to your notification to let shoppers know what it's about.

2. Message: Add an optional message to give more information to your subscribers.

3. Emoji Keyboard: Select one (or more) emojis from the emoji keyboard next to ‘Title’ and ‘Message’ fields.

4. Primary Link: Add the URL you want your subscribers to land on when they click on your notification.

5. Desktop Hero Image: Add a hero image to your notification so that subscribers on their desktop (Windows 10, 8, and older) are shown an appealing image within the notification. Ensure that your hero image is optimized to the size—728x360 pixels.

6. Mobile Hero Image: Add a hero image to your notification so that subscribers on their mobile (Android) are shown an appealing image within the notification. Ensure that your hero image is optimized to the size—728x240 pixels.

7. Mac OS Hero Image: Add a hero image so that subscribers on Mac are shown an appealing image within the notification. Ensure that your hero image is optimized to the size—704x 512 pixels.

8. Add button: Add upto 2 buttons on your campaign to make it more interactive and give subscribers more options.

Under the button, you will be shown two fields-

  • Title: This is the button text.

  • Primary Link: This is the URL you want your subscribers to land on when they click on the button.

9. Logo: You can temporarily change the logo for the campaign you are creating by changing the logo on the editor.

10. Get Test Notification: Send a test notification to your device before sending your campaign to ensure that you’re happy with how the notification looks.

3. Campaign Summary

On this screen, you can see an overview of the campaign, type of campaign, segment it is being sent to, when it will start sending, and it's text on notification preview. Once you are happy with the campaign, you can hit 'Send'.

Note: Campaigns cannot be stopped once you send them. So ensure that you have filled out all the fields and use the ‘Get Test Notification’ feature to check it out on your device before you send it to your subscribers.
