Here's an example of how notifications will look with a hero image
Hero images are displayed on Windows and Android in Chromium-based browsers like Chrome and Edge
Browsers on macOS, as well as Safari and Firefox, do not display hero images. Your notification will show the logo image in its place, so make sure you always have a logo uploaded.
You can only upload image formats of PNG, JPG, or webP. Formats like GIF are not supported by the browsers.
Note: Recommended dimensions for the hero image:
1440px (Width) x 720px (Height)
2:1 ratio, with a file size under 5mb
A single image now works across all platforms.
Windows displays the full image
Android may crop the top and bottom edges.
To make sure your image looks good everywhere, keep all important content — product, text, faces, and logos — within the central 990px * 480px area. You can use the safe zone template below as a guide while designing your image
Adding images to web push campaigns
On the Create Campaign page, you have the option to upload a single hero image for all platforms:
Click on the 'New Campaign' button
Once you've filled the 'Campaign Details' page, continue to the 'Create Notification' page
Click on the 'Upload Image' button under Hero Image and upload an image of the recommended dimensions
Use the notification preview to see how your image will appear on each platform
Note: In the absence of a hero image, your notification will be sent with the logo, title, and message only
Note: macOS does not display hero images. The logo image uploaded in the campaign editor will be used in its place, it is shown in both the logo slot and the image slot of the notification, as can be viewed in the preview
