Shopify Plugin migrated users can connect multiple Shopify stores to a single Brevo account. This setup works, but there are important limitations to understand before getting started.
Setup Process
Step 1: Get Your Migration Link
You'll receive a migration link that contains your Brevo credentials and is unique to your account. It looks like this:
https://dashboard.pushowl.io/brevo-migration/installation?email={{your_brevo_email}}&account_id={{your_brevo_account_id}}Step 2: First Store Migration
Click your migration link — you'll land on the PushOwl migration page.
Click to connect your Shopify store. You'll be redirected to the Shopify App Store.
Install PushOwl, or open it if you're already a user.
Use the store selector (top right corner) to make sure you're on the correct Shopify store — this is critical.
Installation automatically starts the migration process.
You'll be redirected to the PushOwl dashboard within 4–6 seconds.
Step 3: Complete the Migration Checklist
Once redirected to the PushOwl dashboard, complete the following checklist:
Enable theme app extension — installs the PushOwl script on your store.
Select a Brevo list for contact syncing.
Configure contact attribute mapping (Shopify ↔ Brevo field mapping).
Remove the old Brevo app from your Shopify installed apps.
Step 4: Connect Additional Stores
For each additional store, repeat the exact same process using the same migration link. Before installing, use Shopify's store selector to switch to the correct store.
Always use the same migration link for all stores — it contains your Brevo credentials and is the same across every store connection.

What Works
Contact Management
Contact creation — new customers from all your stores are added to Brevo.
Email collection — embedded forms and checkout opt-ins work across all stores.
List organization — each store can send contacts to separate lists in Brevo (recommended).
Double opt-in emails — confirmation emails work correctly for all stores.
Note: If a contact already exists in Brevo, the double opt-in email won't be sent again — even if double opt-in is enabled on other stores.
Order Tracking
Store identification — orders include a storeId field so you can filter by store in Brevo.
Known Limitations
Customer Data
Data overwriting — if the same customer shops at multiple stores, attributes like ext_id, phone number, and order_count are overwritten by whichever store they ordered from most recently.
Sync Limitations
No reverse sync — changes made in Brevo (such as updating consent or customer details) won't sync back to your Shopify stores.
Unsubscribes not synced — if a customer unsubscribes from email marketing in Brevo, this won't be reflected in your Shopify store's customer list.
No custom field sync — Shopify customer metafield sync is disabled for multi-store setups.
Best Practices: List Organization
Create separate Brevo lists for each store — this is the most important step for keeping your contacts organized. Use clear naming conventions so lists are easy to identify, for example:
Store A – Newsletter Subscribers
Store B – Newsletter Subscribers
Store A – Abandoned Cart
Store B – Abandoned Cart
