Find winning ads and clone them with Ad Radar

Browse competitor ads in your category and turn the ones worth copying into your own ad in Ad Studio.

Written by Engineering team

Ad Radar is a library of ads and creative ideas worth studying for your brand. Browse what's running in your category, see why an ad is worth studying, then clone its concept around your own product.

When to use this

  • You're not sure what kind of ad to make next

  • You want to see what competitors in your category are running

  • You've found an ad you like and want your own version of it

Browse the ad library

  1. Click Ad radar in the left menu.

  2. Use the Category menu to pick your industry, or choose All categories.

  3. Use the quick filters to narrow by format: All, Static, Video, UGC or Animated.

  4. Search by brand or keyword with Search ads.

  5. Open Filters for more control. You can filter by:

    • Media type, Running status (Running now / Ended), Aspect ratio, Audio and Video length

    • Creative patterns: how the ad opens (Hook), its Angle, Content structure, Proof, Offer, Visual style and Animation technique

    • Brand

  6. Change the order with Sort by: Fresh picks for you, Recommended, Newest or Longest running.

Options within one filter group widen your results. Options across groups narrow them.

Collections

At the top of the page, Collections group creative recipes: specific combinations of creative choices that brands in your category keep running. Each collection is labeled with why it's there:

  • Kept active longer: brands keep running this combination.

  • Recurring across brands: the same combination shows up across different brands.

Each card shows how many brands and active ads use the recipe. Select See ads to view them in the library, or Clone to start your own version.

Open an ad's breakdown

Select any ad to see:

  • Time active and whether it's Active or Ended

  • Visibility trend (Trending up, Holding steady or Trending down)

  • Ad copy: title, body, caption and call to action

  • Creative strategy breakdown, including Why it feels credible

Use the bookmark icon to save an ad. Find your saved ads later under Bookmarks. You can also copy a shareable link to the ad, or open it in the Meta Ad Library.

These signals come from public ad activity, such as how long an ad has run and how often it's reused. They don't show ad spend or sales.

Clone an ad for your product

  1. Open an ad and click Clone for my product.

  2. Choose a product from From your products.

  3. Ad Studio opens with the ad set as your reference. Choose your settings and generate.

Static ads are rebuilt with the same layout and message around your product. Video ads adapt the original's concept and structure to your product.
