Choose which Shopify locations count toward your product stock

Pick which Shopify locations count toward the stock PushOwl tracks, and re-sync your products to apply the change.

Written by Engineering team

If your store fulfils orders from more than one Shopify location, Brevo PushOwl lets you choose which locations count toward the stock it tracks. A product's stock becomes the total available inventory across the locations you select so your stock-based automations (like Back in Stock) reflect the inventory that actually matters for your store, instead of your total inventory across every location.

Where to find it

Go to Settings → Global → Locations.

If you don't see the Locations screen, this feature isn't enabled for your store yet reach out to our support team and we'll help.

Choose your locations

  • You'll see a list of your Shopify locations, each with a checkbox.

  • Tick a location to include it, or untick to exclude it. Your stock is the total available inventory across the ticked locations.

  • A location that's switched off in Shopify shows an “Inactive in Shopify” badge next to its name. It won't count toward your stock until you reactivate it in Shopify.

  • The Save and Discard buttons appear only once you've changed the selection.

Important: re-sync after changing locations

Changing your selected locations doesn't instantly recompute your existing stock it takes effect as your products sync going forward. So after you save, you'll see a banner prompting you to “Re-sync your product variants.”

To apply the change right away, go to Settings → Global → Synchronisation and re-sync your product variants. (The same reminder banner appears on both the Locations and Synchronisation tabs)

FAQ

What does “stock” mean here?
The total available inventory across the locations you've selected.

I added a new location in Shopify, is it included?
Yes. New locations are added automatically and included by default. Untick it if you don't want it counted.

Why does a location show “Inactive in Shopify”?
It's been deactivated in Shopify, so it can't contribute stock until you reactivate it there. Your selection is remembered, so it resumes automatically once it's active again.

Do I need to re-sync every time?
Only when you change your location selection and want the updated stock reflected immediately. Otherwise it catches up on your next product sync.
