PushOwl allows you to leverage "action buttons" by letting you set secondary links for the push notifications.

Such actions buttons are supported on major OS/Browser combinations, like Windows + Chrome/Edge and Android + Chrome, but not all. For instance, it not supported on iOS, or Firefox + Android.

On the newer versions of Chrome and Android, there's an issue where when you click the action button, the notification will close but the drawer won't. This will give you the impression that nothing has happened, but the link does open up in the background. Only that it doesn't focus back on the Chrome app.

This is a bug in Chrome which has officially being discussed here, but hasn't been resolved yet.

We are working with the Chrome team to get a resolution, but we can't give a definite timeline for this. Meanwhile, we advice to not use action buttons for critical information, and limit it to secondary information.
