Set up automated push notifications with Shopify Flow to inform customers about their order confirmation.

One of the best ways to deliver short and instant updates to your customers is by using push notifications. With the integration between Shopify Flow and PushOwl, you can now set up automated push notifications to send updates to your customers about their orders. 

Here’s how you can set up a push notification to confirm an order:

1. Click on ‘Shopify Flow’ from the ‘Apps’ page on your Shopify dashboard

2. Click on ‘Create Workflow’

3. Select ‘Add Trigger’ and click on ‘Order Created’

4. Select ‘Add Condition’

5. Under ‘If’, select the dropdown and click on ‘Can mark as paid’. 

6. In the second dropdown, click on ‘is true’ from the options. 

7. Then, select ‘Add Action’. 

8. A sidebar will appear on the right. Scroll down to find ‘Send Push Notification’.

9. Fill in the fields as mentioned below or customize it accordingly to your needs.

  1. Customer Email: {{order.email}}

  2. Title for Push Notification: ‘Your order has been placed’

  3. Message for Push Notification (optional): ‘You will receive your order in 5 to 10 business days.’

  4. Primary Link: Select ‘Add Template Variable’ and click on ‘Url’ to take customers back to the store.

  5. Image (optional): (You can leave this field empty.)

10 Click ‘Save’ once you’re done.

11. Name the workflow “Order Created Push’ and click ‘ Save’.

12. Click on the switch at the top right to enable the automation.
